Stjepo Bartulica

President of COK, Professor at Catholic University of Croatia

Stjepo Bartulica is a Doctor of Political Science at the Catholic University of Croatia. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri to Croatian immigrant parents, Stjepo returned to Croatia in 1992. From 1993 until 2005, Stjepo Bartulica worked at the Ministry of foreign affairs in many different roles including leader of the department. From 2005 to 2009, he was the executive chairman of the Eductional Initiative for Central and Eastern Europe. Stjepo Bartulica was President Ivo Josipović’s Advisor for religious communities in Croatia and former Prime Minister Tihomir Orešković’s Advisor for foreign policy. He is also the President and founder of conservative think tank Center for Cultural Renewal (Cro. Centar za obnovu culture, COK) which is focused on educating a new generation of leaders in Croatia which will be able to confront the contemporary challenges facing all of Europe.
