Joe Bašić is the President of the Croatian Canadian Business Network(CCBN), Managing Director and Owner of MPG Southeastern Europe and Partner at SSI Network. Joe is a son of Croatian Canadian Immigrants from Lika and moved back in 1993 to Croatia to start his Marketing and event company MPG Southeastern Europe after graduated the prestigious Ivy Business School at Western University in London, Canada. While in Canada he made many contacts at big Multinational companies such as Pepsico, Lays, IBM, Gillette, and Visa to name a few. He is best known in Croatia for bringing world artists to Croatia such as Justin Bieber and organizing the yearly Ultra Europe Music Festival which generates as much as 0.08% of Croatia’s GDP in spending. The work that he has done with the CCBN has also helped garner more trade with Canada.  In 2017, The Croatian government signed the Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which eliminated tariffs on 99% of exports to and imports from Canada.
