Ernest Svažić

Ernest Svažić is the Mayor of Krapinske Toplice Municipality, Croatia. Ernest Svažić spent most of his career in the tourism industry where he worked as the director of the sales department at Terme Jezerčica for six years and as the marketing manager at Terme Tuhelj. In 2011 and 2012 he served as the President of the Croatian Wellness Association at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Sector for Tourism. In 2012 he was appointed as the director of the Krapinske Toplice Tourist Board, and the following year he ran for Mayor of Krapinske Toplice and won. He won a second consecutive mandate in 2017. Ernest has also over the past few years gone to many diaspora conferences including recently to the Cleveland ACAP conference. Krapinske Toplice is known around the world for the health benefits of it’s hot springs and world class health facilities especially for rehabilitation.  Krapinske Toplice is an example of efficient and healthy co-operation between the public and private sectors, and the results of this co-operation is exemplified by Foreign Direct Investment from Russia, China and Germany.
