Established in May 2010, the CANADIAN-CROATIAN BUSINESS NETWORK (CCBN) is an initiative of Canadian and Croatian companies, professionals, and entrepreneurs in Croatia committed to promoting and maximizing economic ties between Canada and Croatia. The CCBN is the sister organization in Croatia of the Canadian Croatian Chamber of Commerce. Many of the speakers of the Crodiaspora Summit are also members of the CCBN.
The CCBN has 7 founding objectives:
- To foster the development of stronger business, trade and investment relations between Canada and Croatia
- To strengthen the understanding of the economic climate, business philosophies and trends in both countries
- To support and encourage the exchange of knowledge and technology between Canada and Croatia
- To promote a better understanding of the respective corporate cultures, economic developments, investment and trade climates in Canada and Croatia
- To provide a structured environment where people may meet and promote the transfer of know-how and experience for the benefit of all involved
- To create a forum, where guest speakers from private and public life are invited to address an audience of Croatian economic leaders
- To serve as a point of contact in Croatia for Canadians wishing to develop business in Croatia or Croatians interested in developing business in Canada
